KPMG Armenia is looking for a Corporate Lawyer. The ideal candidate can be a young professional or an experienced lawyer who wants to actively shape the future together with KPMG and its clients. The incumbent should be a team player who enjoys working with people from different backgrounds and disciplines, he/ she is keen to develop personally and professionally and to assist with the development of junior team members. He/She is a lawyer with a passion for the law, an intellectually curious, open-minded and analytical person, with an eye for detail and pride in his/her work. The ideal candidate is a driven and proactive professional who delivers great service to the company's clients. He/She is a relationship builder who can spot and develop new opportunities both within the KPMG network and externally. RESPONSIBILITIES
: 
- Perform legal consulting of the clients on various issues of private law (e.g. corporate, commercial, labour, insolvency, anti-monopoly, etc.);
- Perform research and legal analysis related to issues in different industries (banking, industry, construction, pharmacy, mining, energy, telecommunication, FMCG, public sector, etc.);
- Early Legal Input into Tax Advice – provide the Company's clients with tax advice that has already been reviewed by lawyers;
- Implementation of Tax Advice – provide the Company's clients with a simple and cost-effective way of successfully implementing our tax advice;
- Review and Rectification of Implementations – review existing structures and help clients preserve value by rectifying inadequate implementations and operations;
- Mergers & Acquisitions – primarily deal advice on both sides of a transaction including Corporate law advice, guidance, implementation, regulatory and applicability. Prepare legal opinions, assist in legal due diligence projects, perform structuring and full legal support of M&A and other kinds of transactions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
: 
- The applicant will be a Corporate Lawyer with a good range of experience in areas of law such as corporate, structuring and reorganisations, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures, funds, debt listings and intra-group financing arrangements, corporate governance, commercial arrangements, tax, anti-monopoly, etc.;
- The applicant must have a high level of technical knowledge with regards to Armenian corporate and contract law (tax law knowledge is an advantage). Familiarity with regulatory, banking and/or insolvency law would be helpful. In addition, a successful applicant will have the ability to get up to speed quickly on esoteric areas and be keen to continue developing his/her legal skills and engage in new areas of work. Project management skills are a must;
- The applicant should have good experience of coordinating the provision of advice and the production of complex and interrelated legal agreements and documentation. While consulting appropriately on difficult issues, he/she must be able to deliver robust and appropriate legal advice and exercise sound judgement;
- The successful applicant will have significant experience of working with demanding clients across a wide spectrum of size and activities, and will be expert at service delivery. He/She must be able to demonstrate sound client relationship and business development skills, and a keenness to develop these skills further;
- The successful applicant will be expected to take responsibility for servicing and building part of the existing business of the team;
- The successful applicant will help promote the team’s work through participating in team and firm events, giving internal and external presentations, and producing expert articles for publication;
- The successful applicant will be an Armenian lawyer with a minimum of 2 years’ experience, which should have been gained at a reputable firm (but applicants with other suitable experience will also be considered);
- Strong academic, technical, drafting and personal skills are essential.
