The Near East Foundation (NEF) is seeking a candidate for the Field Officer for Coordination to be based in Yerevan, Armenia. The Field Officer for Coordination is a key member of the Near East Foundation team in Yerevan, Armenia. This position will provide overall coordination and project management support and oversight on logistics for the STRIVE for a better future: communities and civil society resilience in Armenia programme. STRIVE aims to improve the resilience, sustainability, accountability, and capacity for innovation of Armenian civil society organisations (CSOs), enabling them to play a pivotal role in raising awareness, deepening democracy, and serving constituencies in Armenia, especially vulnerable populations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
: 
The Field Officer for Coordination is responsible for facilitating coordination among partners in relation to field activities and ensuring effective field coordination and improved synergy and complementarity across all project outputs. The position has the following specific responsibilities:
- Serve as focal point between NEF and project partners across all 10 marzes and Yerevan;
- Support the Project Director in coordinating donor visits;
- Support the four Field Officers anchored with each partner organisation in planning the project's regional events and trainings;
- Oversee planning for national project-sponsored events (annual volunteer fairs, information sessions, and CSO forums);
- Work with Monitoring and Evaluation staff to support the Project Director in compiling project updates and drafting reports;
- Ensure that NEF travel policies and procedures are well understood and followed;
- Perform other supporting and coordination duties as assigned by the Project Director.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
: 
The successful Field Officer for Coordination must be a self-directed individual with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Social Sciences, Business Management, and/ or Communications);
- At least 3 years of experience working in project coordination in the Armenian context;
- Fluency in Armenian language; proficiency in English language, both written and spoken.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Understanding of the structure, constraints and functioning of CSOs, especially in Armenia;
- Experience working for an international non-governmental organisation.
