ОПИСАНИЕ ДОЛЖНОСТИ :

Then you might be MSF perfect new colleague who will know what needs to be done and undertakes to, among other duties, ensure deviations, complaints, and associated claims are centrally registered and appropriately handled by the relevant stakeholders.

Epidemiology Activity Manager will be responsible for defining, coordinating, and monitoring the epidemiological activities, ensuring the development of appropriate methodology and the quality of studies according to MSF protocols, standards, and procedures to identify risk factors for diseases and to determine the optimal treatment approaches to clinical practice and the preventive medicine to be used in the missions.

ОБЯЗАННОСТИ : 

- Define, schedule, organize, and implement in close collaboration with medical team members, the annual epidemiological activity plan and its associated budget to improve early detection of risk factors to define treatment approaches and preventive practices better. Lead the implementation of the protocols and epidemiologic methodology, ensuring all related staff follows them to improve research efficiency;
- Supervise, according to an annual plan, the epidemiological research activity ensure that contacts with community groups and authorities are aligned with the research objectives and that the population participating in the study is appropriately informed. Report on the progress of data collection, ongoing analysis of research, or on any issue causing a delay in achieving epidemiological goals on time;
- Advise the MSF medical team on epidemiological matters that arise during their activity research and designing and implement epidemiological tools and data collection to meet new epidemiological needs when necessary;
- Ensure, in coordination with the medical and logistics department, that national or international shipment of laboratory samples acquired for research purposes is made within datelines and according to protocols, following security rules and keeping conditions needed for the sample;
- Supervise data filing procedures, and ensure that all epidemiology software tools are appropriately used and are updated regularly to ensure complete data traceability and availability;
- Supervise, in close coordination with the Logistic team, that research equipment and materials are properly maintained, and the stock level is above the minimum to ensure availability and research activity continuity;
- Participate in monthly operational reports and organize and assist medical staff in preparing epidemiological reports related to health facilities and researched areas;
- Develop in collaboration with the team the concept notes and study protocols following the Mission Operational Research agenda;
- Lead the study protocol preparation, presentation, and follow up for Ethical Research Board approval at MSF and national level;
- Assure compliance with Data Sharing and data protection policy and all specific policies and procedures applying to data management.

ТРЕБУЕМАЯ КВАЛИФИКАЦИЯ : 

Education:
- Desirable medical or nursing-related diploma, training in Chronic Hepatitis would be an asset;
- Essential degree (or Master's) in Epidemiology or Public Health with extensive training in statistics and epidemiology.

Experience:
- Essential working experience of at least one year in operational research and statistical analysis of research data;
- Desirable working experience with MSF or other NGOs;
- Desirable working experience in developing countries.

Languages:
- Armenian (mother tongue);
- Excellent command of English;
- Knowledge of Russian and/or French is an asset.

Knowledge:
- Essential computer literacy (MS Office package).

Competencies:
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in Armenian and English;
- Outstanding proven time management, planning and organization, skills, including the ability to prioritize ongoing vs. immediate need appropriately;
- Willingness to travel within and outside of Armenia;
- Able to integrate into a multicultural team;
- Adhere to MSF principles and to our managerial values: respect, transparency, integrity, accountability, trust and empowerment;
- Adhere to MSF Behavioural Commitments;
- Excellent Analytical thinking ability, strategic Vision, Leadership, Networking and Relationship building skills.
