ОПИСАНИЕ ДОЛЖНОСТИ
: 
Peace Corps is a U.S. Government agency committed to providing trained American Volunteers to under-resourced communities worldwide. The primary function of the Financial Assistant (FA) is to manage the day-to-day accounting operations to support the Peace Corps Armenia Office in Yerevan. He/ she is responsible for preparing financial obligations, payments, disbursements and collections; participates in annual budget preparation; analyzes financial reports and adjusts accordingly to maintain Peace Corps compliance, be U.S. government purchase and travel card holder. He/ she is the primary contact for financial issues and must be able to provide excellent customer service as well as occasional trainings for both staff and volunteers. He/ she will hold contracting officer responsibilities after the successful completion of the Contracting training and receiving the warrant. The Financial Assistant will report directly to the Director of Management and Operations.
ТРЕБУЕМАЯ КВАЛИФИКАЦИЯ
: 
- University degree, equivalent to a bachelor's degree and/ or master's degree, in Management, Business, Accounting or a related field;
- 5 years of experience in financial management and/ or accounting and contracting;
- Level 4 language proficiency in both English and Armenian, according to the Interagency Language Roundtable:
http://www.govtilr.org/, and ability to translate English to Armenian and vice versa, both spoken and written.
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
- Knowledge of budget development, management and implementation;
- Competence in using the Internet, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook;
- Ability to operate general office equipment;
- Strong sense of integrity;
- Ability to maintain confidential information;
- Attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
- Knowledge or experience of working with Americans in a professional setting;
- Ability to travel occasionally, both locally and internationally.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Level 5 language proficiency in both English and Armenian, according to the Interagency Language Roundtable:

- Knowledge, skills and attitudes: Working knowledge of United States Government procedures and policies pertaining to financial operations and utilization of appropriated funds.
