JOB DESCRIPTION
: 
The Medical Liaison Officer will be involved in the implementation and continuation of project medical activities. He/she will support Project Medical Referent (PMR) by ensuring a good relationship with the National Health facility director and other medical staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
: 
- Ensure the quality and continuity of project medical activities and medical care to the targeted population;
- Be responsible for keeping the link between PMR and the Director of the medical unit;
- Be responsible for keeping the link between PMR and Governmental staff of medical facilities where MSF is carrying out medical activities;
- Assist PMR in the implementation of medical activities according to validated Standard Operation Procedures and monitoring proper use of provided resources;
- Ensure proper patient care during diagnosis, admission, treatment, follow-up up and discharge;
- Ensure complete medical records and data are collected by responsible medical staff;
- Participate in the preparation of the monthly medical report;
- Participate in regular medical team meetings;
- Provide verbal and written translations related to project medical activities as needed;
- Follow up and report to PMR any medical challenges encountered at the project.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
: 
- Education: A Medical Doctor diploma, training/ experience in Infectious Diseases is an asset;
- Experience: Essential post-graduation clinically certified work experience of at least 2 years;
- Desirable experience in MSF or other NGOs in developing countries;
- Languages: Armenian (mother tongue); excellent command of English; knowledge of Russian is an asset;
- Essential computer literacy (word, excel, internet).
