JOB DESCRIPTION
: 
Reporting to the Country Director for Armenia and working closely with the Lead Psychologist at Headquarters, the MHPSS Program Manager will define, implement and coordinate all mental health activities in the project area in accordance with DSF protocols in order to provide the most appropriate support to patients and the support of a team of approximately 5 psychologists.
RESPONSIBILITIES
: 
- Identify the mental health support needs of the population in the context of the mission and participate in the implementation of DSF's strategy in Armenia;
- Participate in the definition, planning, implementation and monitoring of activities;
- Participate in the finance and logistics management of activities, in close collaboration with the Country Director and the Administrative Assistant;
- Analyse and develop the technical material, tools, guidelines and documents required for mental health activities, in close collaboration with the Head Office Lead Psychologist, and help to capitalise on these;
- Manage the team of psychologists and participate, in close collaboration with the Country Director, in the associated processes (recruitment, training/induction, evaluation, development and communication) of the staff;
- Contribute to the development of standard DSF protocols in close collaboration with the Head Office Lead Psychologist and supervise their application by all professionals in the field;
- Organise trainings for DSF teams and partners and supervise them on a regular basis;
- Attend activities to provide technical support for the teams (additional training, etc.) and report information and problems to the Country Director and/or the Head Office Lead Psychologist at regular meetings;
- Co-organise missions for DSF experts from the head office or external experts in close collaboration with the Country Director;
- Ensure that the mental health team adheres to DSF principles regardless of personal feelings and/ or beliefs;
- Identify and set up partnerships with appropriate local structures, and ensure excellent communication with local partners and institutions;
- Monitor existing mental health services.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
: 
- Preferably with a degree/ master's in Psychology, Social work or a medical degree specialising in Psychiatry;
- Candidates with experience in the field of mental health and humanitarian psychosocial support are also invited to apply;
- At least 1-2 years' professional experience in the management, monitoring and evaluation of mental health projects;
- Native Armenian;
- Professional-level of the English language, spoken and written;
- Knowledge of the French language is appreciated;
- IT tools (Pack Office, e-mail, etc.);
- Project management;
- Staff management and development;
- Adherence to DSF humanitarian principles;
- Teamwork and cooperation.
