ԱՇԽԱՏԱՆՔԻ ՆԿԱՐԱԳԻՐ

Democracy International (DI) is seeking a Grants Officer to support the five-year USAID-supported Protection, Inclusion, and Empowerment Activity in Armenia. The project supports local officials, civil society leaders, private sector actors, and marginalized groups in addressing legislative gaps, enhancing collaboration among local stakeholders in policymaking and implementation, increasing resources, and strengthening their responsiveness to crises. This is a full-time position based in Yerevan, Armenia.
The Grants Officer will report to the Grants and Partnership Specialist and support the activity’s grants portfolio and new grants developed by the program.
ՊԱՐՏԱԿԱՆՈւԹՅՈւՆՆԵՐ
: 
- Support managing all programmatic and financial aspects of Grants and small grants awarded through the project;
- Work with technical staff to ensure grant designs reflect programmatic requirements;
- Provide support in grant application and selection procedures, management, and reporting;
- Coordinate efforts between the grants department, technical program teams, and monitoring and evaluation unit to ensure close cooperation during grant design, negotiation, and implementation management;
- Collect and review deliverables from grantees;
- In cooperation with Grants, Finance, and technical teams, support analyzing budget estimates, discerning reasonableness, consistency, and whether expenses are allocable and allowable;
- Support in post-award management following relevant regulations, including but not limited to reporting, audits, etc., per USAID policies and Procedures;
- Provide administrative, operational, and programmatic backstop support;
- Track and review grants and contracts through the payment cycle, ensuring compliance with USAID agreements and DI policies;
- Contribute to internal reports, annual work plans, and quarterly and monthly reports;
- Support and participate in program activities at the discretion of the Activity Chief of Party;
- Perform other similar tasks and responsibilities that DI might reasonably request.
ԱՆՀՐԱԺԵՇՏ ՈՐԱԿԱՎՈՐՈՒՄՆԵՐ
: 
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, political science, social administration, development studies, management, or another relevant field required;
- Minimum of three years of project support experience, including preparing, negotiating, monitoring, and evaluating grants. Experience coordinating directly with grantees;
- Experience working with civil society and NGOs in Armenia is required;
- Experience with USAID or other donor-funded development programming is required;
- Experience writing and reviewing project proposals, work plans, and program reports is preferred;
- Experience designing grant budgets, developing milestone schedules, and defining deliverables is required;
- Knowledge and experience in social protection, inclusion, and governance, or related technical areas preferred;
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple demands, prioritize, and produce high-quality work;
- Commitment to accuracy in all tasks and attention to detail and follow-up is essential;
- Demonstrated experience of successful teamwork and good communication and interpersonal skills; and
- Professional fluency in English and working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools required.
