JOB DESCRIPTION
: 
IFES Armenia is seeking a Translator with appropriate skills, experience and language ability. The Translator will provide quality control protocols to manage translation within the framework of IFES Armenia Civic Education Program and liaise constantly with IFES Armenia. The Translator should have experience in translating technical as well as academic materials from Armenian language to English language and vice versa. He/ she must also demonstrate proven experience in translating large documents. The work can be done both at home and at workplace.
RESPONSIBILITIES
: 
The responsibilities of the Translator within the framework of the Civic Education Program are as follows:
- Translate IFES Armenia's Civic Education Program curriculum from English language to Armenian language and vice versa;
- Liaise and coordinate closely with IFES Armenia to ensure content harmonization for all required materials;
- Edit and re-submit sections after IFES review upon necessity;
- Submit components according to specified timeline and deadline.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
: 
- University degree in Linguistics, Translation, Communication or other relevant fields;
- Proven experience in translating educational or academic materials;
- Excellent command of Armenian and English languages;
- Good understanding of Armenian educational system;
- Comprehension of civic education will be a plus;
- Ability to work collaboratively with IFES program staff;
- Responsibility and commitment to deadlines, as well as ability to work under pressure.
