About us:

The Good Governance Unit consists of 3 local fixed-term mission members, with 1 National Programme Officer and 2 Senior Programme Assistants. In 2015 the Government of the Republic of Armenia adopted a decision on approval of the Anti-Corruption Strategy of RA and its Action Plan for 2015-2018. Following the establishment of a new Council on Anti-Corruption and commencement of developing a new National Anti-Corruption Strategy and creation of respective anti-corruption bodies, the Office has been formally requested to provide broader support to the Government with implementation of the new strategy. The Office plans to substantively elevate the level of its engagement in this area, which would require substantial direct implementation on the side of Office staff. In addition the Good Governance Unit commences a new large scale project on Business against Corruption that will also require direct implementation on the Office side. The Office also commenced two other large scale projects on traffic regulation and civil servants' training. In May 2016 the Office signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Territorial Administration that will require additional resources to provide trainings on integrity and anti-corruption to municipalities staff in marzes in addition to the training provided annually to public servants. In 2016 Police Officers will also receive these trainings.
