JOB DESCRIPTION
: 
Development (USAID)-funded Armenia Strategic Communications Support Activity. The Activity will support the Government of Armenia (GOAM) to build effective streamlined, data-driven, and citizen-centered strategic communications systems, capacity, and practices. Specifically, the Activity will support GOAM in the following three main focus areas: 1) enable the institutional set-up and talent management of the public sector’s streamlined strategic communications; 2) ensure the public sector has institutionalized systems and capacity for data-driven information management to inform strategic communications; and 3) foster citizen-centered strategic communications and public outreach.
Position Description:
The Program Assistant will provide programmatic support for the design and implementation of interventions implemented under the Activity Components 1, 2 & 3. The Program Assistant will work closely with all three component teams, and will coordinate with the Collaborating, Learning and Adapting team and the Finance and Operations team as applicable
RESPONSIBILITIES
: 
- Contribute to the development of relevant technical documents under program components;
- Convene meetings, consultations, discussions, and other events including external partners and stakeholders;
- Prepare reports of meetings convened or attended by the Activity team and takes meeting minutes/ notes as applicable and distributes accordingly;
- Assist with coordinating and maintaining relationships with external partners and stakeholders including the Government of Armenia, civil society organizations, media, international donors/programs, etc.;
- Support timely and high-quality contributions to program communications deliverables including but not limited to reports, success stories, case studies, etc.;
- Contribute to accurate and timely MEL inputs when required;
- Follow up and ensure all technical inputs (files, reports, deliverables, etc.) are stored per project guidelines;
- Travel as required to program site visits and meetings to facilitate effective program development and compliant implementation;
- Perform other tasks as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
: 
- Academic degree in a relevant field such as communications, public relations, international development, business administration, marketing or other related field required;
- At least two (2) years of professional experience in a similar position preferably for donor-funded development projects;
- Excellent time management, coordination skills, and ability to prioritize effectively to meet tight deadlines;
- Proven ability to work effectively independently and as part of the team;
- Excellent writing skills in English and Armenian;
- Proficiency in written and oral English.
